CAS NO.: 39464-87-4
EINECS No.: 254-464-6
Molecular Formula: C24H40O20 Properties
Sclemglucan is a water soluble, nature-derived polysaccharide produced by fermentation of the filamentous fungus Sclerotium rolfsii. It is a highly versatile ingredient, it has special rheological and pseudoplastic properties, high viscosity and thermal stability, excellent Acidalkali and salt resistant, wide intermiscibility, good suspension and emulsifying property,it¡¯s non-toxic, no odour, non-pollution, environment eco-friendly,
Sclemglucan has similar property with xanthan gum, but with much more advantage than xanthan gum.
Applications 1) Scleroglucan can be used in oilfield industry
It has better salt resistant and high thermal stability than xanthan gum and polyacrylamide, so can be used to develop oil of deep stratum in tertiary oil recovery, can improve oil recovery.
2) Scleroglucan can be used in food industry
Scleroglucan can be used as thickening agent, suspension agent, membrance shaping agent and agglomerating agent in food industry,It can replace xanthan gum in food industry, but has much better property than xanthan gum.
3) Scleroglucan can be used in skin care products
It has high water retention property and can reduce roughness of skin, so can be used widely in cosmetic products especially for facial mask.
